Sloping garden

A garden on a slope is always a challenge, however this garden was particularly difficult as it needed to tick a number of different boxes for the owners.
The primary requirement at this property in Quarry Hills was to create a relatively private access to a garden cabin, where the client works as a yoga instructor. We were able to create a wide path that led from the garden-gate directly to the cabin, and hide this from the house and garden with a colourful border. This created a welcoming entrance to clients, whilst maintaining privacy for the family.
For the rest of the garden, we created levels using natural Peak stone walling in sinuous curving shapes, reflecting the client’s love of a soft and naturalistic feel.
We also created a family patio area, leading directly from the family room, along with a good sized play area for the children, which was all enclosed with a lush, leafy and colourful planting mix.
