Our Approach

How do we do it?

Our aim, through the initial consultation process, is to help clients understand what they’d like in their idyllic garden, Andi will come to visit, have a chat, and take a look at the garden itself, to factor in elements such as the direction of the sun, the type of soil, and any other elements to help understand how to maximise what the garden space offers.

Armed with all this information, Andi then gets drawing, using his 30 years design experience to show how the current garden can be changed into a perfect one for the client.

It can be difficult to visualise how your garden could look and to work out where to put features and plants for best effect, but Andi’s role is to help you do just that. He’ll listen to your requirements and ideas, absorb and interpret them, whether it’s a full-blown garden design project (including a presentation plan, construction drawings and planting plan) or a simple revamp and re-plant.

Once the initial sketch design is approved (with any necessary tweaks along the way), Andi will take it to the next stage and create a 3D garden design. This computer-aided design technology allows the client to view the garden design in 3D, giving a peek into the future as to how the garden will look. Our special 3D garden design software allows you to see the garden from multiple angles, including aerial, side and front views, allowing you to take a virtual walk through your future garden. It shows how everything works in relation to each other, so you can see how wide or high elements, as well as appreciating the various colours and textures.

The common element in our gardens is that they are well designed both functionally and visually and have strong ‘bone structure’ with good planting.

It can be difficult to visualise how your garden could look and to work out where to put features and plants for best effect. Our role is to help you do just that. We will listen to your requirements and ideas, absorb and interpret them and turn them into reality with the minimum of fuss, time and bother. This could be a full-blown garden design project including a presentation plan, construction drawings and planting plan or it could be a simple revamp and re-plant.

From the very first meeting, we will start to pull together a list of requirements and develop the concept. It is important to sort out a number of issues.
